T Duffy Week 5 The comments of each drawing or scan is under the image.

I hate that you can't move the images after upload, nor direct where the image should go during the upload. In any case, I would have preferred this image to be near the "Inside rear Wall" image. Note that as one approaches the entry to the cemetery from the town parking area, a person can not view the interior of the cemetery until he/she is at the narrow opening in the wall.
These are things that that can not be moved, although I am wondering if the memorial can be moved
These are some observations about what is going on outside the actual property and the impact within the property. It seems to me that while the main entrance is currently from Pleasant Street, this is actually the back wall of the "Civic Block".
This is about the grade of the property. It seems apparent that a path system is doable, all grades seem to be very manageable for most people. I wonder what the rules are for ADA and the Restoration rules as far as walking paths are concerned.
These are some thoughts about signage. The only informational signage is that 10 x 20 blue sign near the Pleasant Street entrance. First of all, it is tiny and easy to miss. Secondly, it only talks about the one event. Third, it does not acknowledge the British who died there at all. Fourth, one of the most interesting features of the cemetery, the tombs, are not mentioned.  The other thing I noticed was that the large area marked off has no headstones. If I were to guess, I would say that most likely this area was flooded during the spring, mainly due to the topography. We also know that a stream was there at some point, but we do not know the actual width of the stream.
This is an idea after hearing Luis's observation about pedestrian traffic, the source and the destination. It would seem to me that a diagonal path would be a desirable "shortcut" through the site. Also, I really do not see the need for the town workers to pull their truck into the site to mow the grass. Aren't they mowing the grass in the other sites in this Civic Block? Why not just walk the mower through the existing parking lot and do the job?
This is about what I feel are important features of the existing conditions that may be more emphasized. As I mentioned before, the tomb and its use and construction has intrigued me, so I feel others would be intrigued as to why it was used and how they are built, I think to build one, perhaps partially done to show the construction, and to have appropriate signage to tell its story. The flagpole and the memorial should be linked better than it is now. An educated guess from me is that the flagpole has been in that spot since the schoolhouse was there. Wherever the schoolhouse was, it isn't there now, so why not link the memorial and the flagpole?

This is documenting the open space greater than 7' on the site.

This is a reminder of how much sun there would be if all the existing trees were removed. Also, it should be kept in mind that removing all the trees will change the impact of rain (acid) (erosion of soil around the headstones)(effect of sun and rain on tops and sides of headstones)
This is to record what appears to be the main pattern of use. I recorded this by observing the two afternoons I was there and the turf worn down.

Here are some ideas about the possibility of a path system. My concept is "intertwining" so I probably will have the paths or some of its elements intertwine.

These two are about what the views are and what I think they should be.
This is the topographic map of the site. I got the top contour lines from the Town of Arlington homepage, on the map link.  Even though the person is tiny, you can see the gentle slope of the site
This is a section of the tombs along the wall adjacent to the town parking area.
This is a cross section of the rear entry. Note the steep incline and the height of the wall in relation to the scale figure.

These two are sections of the wall along Pleasant street, one from the inside and one from the outside.

This is a cross section of a tomb. The exterior dimensions are all accurate, I took some poetic license with the interior.

It is great to see the scale figures in all of your diagrams. It really helps to underscore the argument for changing the wall heights which you had mentioned previously. Your site hand analysis diagrams will help you to remember the important aspects and the adverse impacts or the negatives of the site that you seek to resolve. I like seeing the sections and I hope to see some that accompany your design.
