Luis DaSilva - Site Analysis Part II & Concept Ideas
The picture of the human heart best describe my concept and idea in which I observed in the site analysis. It supports my theory about the circulation and use of the burying ground site, showing the alternative pathways directing people through and across, leading them to their desire destination. The idea of using a human heart as the icon of my concept, was born from study sketches made in class exploring the shape of the burying ground site itself, as being almost compared as one half of a heart. Not necessary the real human heart, but to the so well known symbol of a heart that is a lot used specially on Valentines Day to symbolize love. My concept for this site analysis can be described as "Walking in a Heart Beat", meaning that randomly people constantly chooses to use the burying ground as a walking short cut - specially in rush hour's traffic - to get across the town reaching their desired destinations faster and more efficient in order to save time walking around the block. The site itself it's not an attractive place, which I can also easy compare to the heart, as being scary and unattractive, but in other hands being the most substantial and efficient human organ that we so depend on to live.

Hi Luis, your site analysis is good and your concept is interesting.
I would like you to work on the sections (where is the other one?) to make them more accurate in terms of the general information they give us (heights, location of trees and their heights and so on)
Also, please think about the meaning of the heart in your design and start designing according to this concept. When you'll show us your design on Monday I will want to see the influence of your concept on the design.
